An Atari 2600 game

Introduction

Our most important submarine station is under attack. As the captain of the Submarine Defense Force, your mission is to repel the assault and protect the base at all cost.

Controls

• Joystick: Moves the submarine in all directions.
• Fire button: Launches torpedoes to destroy incoming depth charges.

Game mode

• Single-player: Controls the submarine and shoots torpedoes to destroy the depth charges.

Game objective

Defend the submarine station for as long as possible. Speed and precision are key to survival.

Scoring

• Each depth charge destroyed grants one point

Extra difficulty

For more experienced captains, the difficulty can be increased. Switching the left difficulty switch to position "A" the torpedo blows when in contact with a depth charge. Also, depth  charges drop rate is increased.

Tips and strategies

• Keep moving to avoid becoming an easy target.
• Align your shots with enemy movement to maximize accuracy.
• Pick a repair pack to repair the station after been hit by a depth charge.

Console setup

1. Press the fire button to start the game.
2. Press Reset to go to the initial screen.
3. Adjust the left difficulty switch.

Note

This is a 8KB version of Sea Control, offering the same gameplay and features as the original. Its main purpose is to provide a ROM suitable for burning to an EPROM and creating a physical cartridge.
